About Me

My photo
Fly Fish Tennessee - I am a (FIVE time) Fly Casting Champion and I've taught at THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE, Knoxville. I have fly fished all my life as fly fishing was the glue that bonded me with my dad, Dr. George Still. I made my first fly rod at age 12 and attended an advanced fly tying class with my dad at age 13. I have won a number of fishing contests while growing up. I simply want to provide the OPPORTUNITY for others to enjoy fly fishing by teaching students the sport. It is a terrific way to build lifelong relationships with multiple people. It is a sport that helps with the development of Patience, Kindness, and Gentleness and of course Self Control. I also like catching BIG FISH on BIG water!!! Call 865-696-9474 and tell me your background - I want to hear it.

MARCH 2015 GRADUATES --

MARCH 2015 STUDENTS
What a FUN GROUP !!!  These students are ready to hit the stream with their Fly Rod in hand.  One of the best casting group I have had the pleasure to work with. These people came to learn the sport.  Thank you to my friends at 3 Rivers Angler Fly Shop for the tour and DVD night.
Back row Left to Right - Neil Burchfield, Jeremy Hobbs, Frank and Nikki Rozzell.
Center row - Angie and Steve Arnett, Chuck Bean.
Front Row - Michael Stafford, Dykie and Leslie Gentry.
Absent - Brian and Sam Bruce.

Chuck says   "This class takes a somewhat mystifying sport and breaks it down so that you have few questions and apprehensions... This is Simply an excellent class".

Brian says  " My son and I had recently started fly fishing and felt like we had learned a lot through youtube and discussions at fly shops locally. But we signed up for Drew’s class to make sure we covered everything. Boy, am I glad we did. Drew’s attention to the details of the sport were priceless. From his money saving tips, step-by-step description of gear, hands own casting instruction and informative (and humorous) fishing stories, this class was well worth the time and money. We now feel equipped and ready for the river. Most importantly, we are now fishing expecting to catch something during each outing. If you are interested in the sport, do yourself a favor and start with Drew’s class.

Nikki says  "Drew does a great job explaining the material...".

Frank says  "This class is great for any "level" of Fly Fisherman... takeaways for everyone".

Dykie says  "Your passion shines through and it is a pleasure to be in your class".

Mike says  "A very patient presentation to help anyone understand how to really get started.

Neil says  "This is a very informative class that has excellent hands-on instruction".

Steve says  "Don't go fly fishing without taking this class.  This class prepares you for what you will learn 'the hard way', on the river".

Angie says  "Thank you for a great class".
