- DREW STILL
- Fly Fish Tennessee - I am a (FIVE time) Fly Casting Champion and I've taught at THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE, Knoxville. I have fly fished all my life as fly fishing was the glue that bonded me with my dad, Dr. George Still. I made my first fly rod at age 12 and attended an advanced fly tying class with my dad at age 13. I have won a number of fishing contests while growing up. I simply want to provide the OPPORTUNITY for others to enjoy fly fishing by teaching students the sport. It is a terrific way to build lifelong relationships with multiple people. It is a sport that helps with the development of Patience, Kindness, and Gentleness and of course Self Control. I also like catching BIG FISH on BIG water!!! EMAIL ME and tell me your background - I want to hear it.

APRIL 2018 - FIGHT OF THE MONTH
CAUGHT A COUPLE BEAUTIES TODAY
FIGHT OF THE MONTH - APRIL 2018
THIS 20 INCH FEMALE RAINBOW TROUT was "right where she was supposed to be" down DEEP below a ledge that dropped into deep water. When she hit, I had some "slack" in my line to adjust for the drift... but my trusty size 18 hook held on.... I was in current and when she hit I knew I had to move downstream to net her. She was in my backing within seconds but by HOLDING THE ROD HIGH, I was able to maintain pressure while traversing downstream to land her in some slow water on the side of the stream. She took off with many airborne jumps headed downstream like a jumping tarpon... What a fight!!! After working with her to make sure she was fine, a gentle release in the slow water followed. Great Day !!
18 Inch Rainbow Trout
This 18 Inch Rainbow Trout was my first good fish for 2018. I knew I had a good one when her HEAD SHAKE was felt in the fly rod at the hook set. My trusty 18 size midge held on for a good fight and then a quick release. What a GREAT time with friends.
