No experience? No gear? No problem.

What’s Included:

  • 10 hours of classroom instruction.

  • 4 hours of hands-on casting lessons.

  • All rods and reels will be provided.

What You Need:

  • Notebook & pen.

  • Desire to learn “how to fly fish.”

What You’ll Learn:

  • Knowledge: More than just the fundamentals of fly fishing. Including gear, flies, knots, the fly shop and how to present your fly on the stream… you will be able to “hit the stream and catch fish”.

  • Skills Taught: Safety, how to read the stream, overhead casting, sidearm casting, proper presentation, fighting the fish, netting the fish.

  • Temperament: We will discuss “problems” like snags, lost flies, broken rods and even falling-in yet still enjoy yourselves on the water.

In addition to the formal class. PRIVATE CASTING LESSONS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE - They are one hour long and scheduled at a convenient time that fits your schedule. We begin with your current capability since most people want to fix / improve their current cast… and we can move all the way to the double haul for distance, if desired.
