June 2023 - Trip of the month - Saltwater Snook on a fly

When Michael Conti said “would you be interested in going in my RV to South Florida and go snook fishing”… I said “yes I would - pinch me”.

We went with a guide one day and traveled deep into the everglades and fished without a guide the rest of the time. Doing the best we could on our own knowledge. We then fished the canal near Markham Park, Ft. Lauderdale FL. area. What a great time with our families’ 1968 Boston Whaler!! Man was it HOT June 8th - 16th west of Miami 90 degrees with 97% humidity due to the afternoon storms. We caught more fish than what is shown here. Remember you need a GOOD DRAG SYSTEM when you fish saltwater and rinse the gear down every day.
